Rules & Regulations

At Sri Kanna Public School, discipline and responsibility form the foundation of education. Our rules and regulations are framed to create a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment where students can achieve academic excellence and holistic development.

School Timings

  • Prayer Assembly: 9.00 a.m.
  • Classes I – X: 9.15 a.m. – 12.20 p.m. (morning session), 12.50 p.m. – 3.50 p.m. (afternoon session).
  • Breaks: A short interval in the morning and lunch break from 12.20 p.m. – 12.50 p.m.

Attendance Policy

  • A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next class.
  • Absence without leave application will be viewed seriously and may invite punishment.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring their ward’s regularity and punctuality.

Parental Consent

  • Admission implies that both parents/guardians and students agree to abide by all rules and decisions taken by the school management.
  • Parents are encouraged to maintain active communication with the school to support their child’s growth and discipline.

General Guidelines

  • Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction is strictly English, ensuring students develop strong communication skills and a global outlook.
  • Academic Year: The school year runs from June to April. Parents and students are expected to adhere to the academic calendar.
  • Admissions: Available from 1st to Class X. Age eligibility rules are strictly followed: 2+ years for Class I, and so on (as on July 31 of the admission year).
  • Transfer Certificate & Birth Certificate: For admission, a Birth Certificate (for new admissions) or an Original Transfer Certificate (for higher classes) must be submitted. Students from unrecognized institutions will not be admitted.

Discipline & Conduct

  • Students must be punctual and regular to school.
  • Late coming, irregular attendance, neglect of homework, disobedience, or disrespect towards staff may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Use of foul language, misbehavior, or insubordination will be dealt with seriously and may result in dismissal.
  • Wearing gold ornaments or costly items to school is strictly prohibited. Students are responsible for their own belongings.
  • Any damage to school property must be reported immediately and compensated by the student responsible.

Uniform Policy

Boys

  • 1st to V: Light Saxe Blue Shirt with Grey & Blue-checked Half Pant.
  • VI – X: Light Saxe Blue Shirt with Grey & Blue-checked Full Pant.

Girls

  • 1st to II: Grey & Blue-checked Frock.
  • III – V: Light Saxe Blue Shirt with Grey & Blue-checked Skirt.
  • VI – X: Light Saxe Blue Shirt with Grey & Blue-checked Coat & Pant.
  • Full uniform must be worn daily, including well-polished footwear.
