Admission Procedure

At Sri Kanna Public School, the admission process is designed to be transparent, fair, and student-friendly. We welcome children from diverse backgrounds and provide them with equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.

Classes Offered

  • Admissions are open for Classes I to X under the CBSE curriculum.

Age Criteria (as on 31st July of the admission year)

  • Class I: 5+ years
  • For higher classes, the required minimum age is calculated accordingly.

Fee Structure & Payment

  • Fees are collected term-wise:
    • I Semester: April to August
    • II Semester: September to March
  • For Classes 1st to V, fees may also be collected on a monthly basis (June – May).
  • Payment Timelines:
    • Last date for fee payment: 10th of every month.
    • After 10th: Fine of ₹1/- per day.
    • After 15th: Fine of ₹5/- per day.
    • Payments should be made only at the school fee counter during working hours (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Receipts must be collected and preserved carefully.

Admission Process

  • Enquiry & Registration: Parents may visit the school office for initial enquiry and registration of the child’s name.
  • Interaction / Screening (if applicable): Depending on the class, students may be required to attend a simple interaction session or basic skill test.
  • Submission of Forms: Application form with all required documents must be submitted at the school office within the stipulated time.
  • Confirmation of Admission: Admission is confirmed only after verification of documents and approval from the school authorities.
  • Fee Payment: Parents must pay the prescribed admission fee and term fees at the school office to secure the seat.

Medium of Instruction

  • The medium of instruction at Sri Kanna Public School is English, with equal emphasis on Tamil and Hindi as additional languages.

Eligibility & Documents Required

  • Birth Certificate (Xerox copy) – for new admissions.
  • Transfer Certificate (Original) – for admissions from Class II onwards.
  • Recent Passport-size Photographs of the student.
  • Address Proof of the parent/guardian.
  • Community Certificate (if applicable).

Note: Students from unrecognized institutions will not be admitted.
