Examination & Tests

Examination & Tests

At Sri Kanna Public School, we follow a systematic and transparent evaluation process to assess the academic progress of every student. Our examination system is designed to encourage consistent learning, discipline, and self-improvement, rather than mere memorization.

Examination Pattern

  • Terminal Examinations: Three major terminal examinations are conducted in September, December, and April.
  • Mid-Term Tests: Regular mid-term assessments are conducted from July to February to monitor continuous progress.
  • Unit Tests & Class Assessments: Short tests, class assignments, and project-based evaluations are carried out to strengthen conceptual understanding.

Promotion Policy

  • A student’s promotion to the next class is based on overall performance throughout the year, not just a single exam.
  • Equal weightage is given to class tests, term exams, assignments, and attendance.
  • Regularity in studies and discipline are crucial in determining progress.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Students must attend all examinations punctually; no special tests or re-exams will be conducted for absentees.
  • Results once declared are final and will not be reconsidered under any circumstances.
  • Students absent for exams must provide a valid reason or medical certificate to the school authorities.
  • Parents are encouraged to review their child’s progress regularly and attend parent-teacher meetings scheduled after each term exam.

Objective of Assessments

  • To identify each student’s strengths and areas that require improvement.
  • To prepare students for competitive exams like NTSE, Olympiads, NEET, and JEE.
  • To instill the habit of self-study, time management, and accountability.
  • To help teachers adopt teaching strategies suited to individual learning needs.

Our Belief

Examinations at Sri Kanna Public School are not just about marks — they are about measuring growth, building confidence, and preparing students for real-life challenges.
